
PONCA CITY – Putnam City junior Sebastian De Loera finished in eighth place at the Kelly Chaney Invitational at Lake Ponca Tuesday (Sept. 24).
De Loera finished the 5K race in 18:46.43.
Fellow junior Westley Lopez ended up 22nd with a time of 20:26.29. Sophomore Fernando Velasco placed 25th in 20:43.96.
In the girls race, the Lady Pirates ended up sixth out of the six schools that scored points.
Senior Cameron Berumen paced Putnam City with a 13th place finish in 23:40.69.

Putnam City will run in the Oklahoma Baptist University Cross Country Challenge Oct. 3. The 6A races begin at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee at 6:10 p.m.
