BETHANY – The Lady Bronchos’ streak of winning sets ended Tuesday (Sept. 3) but 4A top-ranked Bethany beat 3A’s top team Christian Heritage Academy in four sets to stay undefeated.

Bethany (14-0) won the first two sets, 25-22, 25-21. In the third set, Christian Heritage (13-4) scored a 27-25 win. The Lady Bronchos won the final set, 25-19.

“They were a solid team and made us work for points tonight,” Bethany coach Kerri Cagle said via text. “We had to focus in on playing our game and working thru adversity together.”

“It was overall team effort and fight tonight.”

Bethany’s streak ended at 32 straight winning sets.

UP NEXT

Bethany travels to Harding Thursday (Sept. 5). Play begins at 6 p.m.
