BETHANY — Bethany rolled to a sweep of the Bethany Invitational Saturday (Sept. 12).
The Bronchos didn’t drop a set over five matches. Bethany earned wins over Weatherford, Harding Charter Prep, El Reno, Putnam City and Newcastle.
Including Bethany’s 3-0 sweep of Tecumseh on Sept. 8, the Bronchos have won 13 straight sets over six matches.
All-Tournament team honorees include seniors Keyaira O’Hern, Emma Sailer and sophomore Vivian Flinton. Senior libero Gracee Geissler was the tournament’s most valuable player.
On Saturday, Geissler set a school record for digs in a career. She surpassed Jackie Lynn’s total of 1,194 in 2019. Prior to Lynn holding the record, Kelsi Stout was atop the list. Stout is a current assistant coach at Bethany.
