
SHAWNEE — Shawnee took advantage of a big third inning and Putnam City errors for a 10-0 win Friday (May 1).
The 5A Wolves scored five runs in the fourth inning to put things out of reach. Original committed four errors in the loss.
PC was held to three hits. Junior Bryson Vanover, senior Justin Knight and freshman Dylan Grigsby each had a hit. Grigsby and Vanover added walks along with sophomore MJ Petties.
Pirate pitching issued nine walks to go along with six Shawnee hits.

Putnam City (4-30) makes the trek to southwestern Oklahoma Saturday (May 2) to play 2A-2 Frederick at 1 p.m. PC coach Joseph Wood coached the Bombers before moving up to Original before last season.
Frederick (10-11) is riding a four-game winning streak and beat 2A-2 Cordell 10-0 on Thursday.
