BARTLESVILLE — Putnam City North outhit Bartlesville but the Bruins ran away with a 11-3 win over the Panthers Tuesday (April 28) in the 6A-4 finale for both teams.

The Panthers had 11 hits and had a baserunner in each inning.

North struck first with a run in the first inning. Senior Xayvion Jones led off the game with a single. Fellow senior JaQuari Dansby moved Jones to second with a sacrifice bunt. Senior Quincy Robinson followed with a single to right field to score Jones.

The Bruins answered with three runs in the bottom half of the first inning.

North loaded the bases in the second. Seniors Reece Hubble and Alfredo Renteria singled and Jones walked. Dansby singled to center to score Hubble to make it 3-2.

Bartlesville scored in each of the next three innings while the Panthers couldn’t push another run across the plate.

Hubble went 3-for-3 with a run batted in and a walk. Dansby was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jones, Robinson, seniora Austin Guerrero, Xavier Sarkey, Renteria and junior Devin Orton each had hits.

North (3-27) faces Yukon (27-7) Thursday (April 30) at 6 p.m.

The Millers split their final 6A-1 series with Edmond Santa Fe Monday and Tuesday.
