
TULSA — Putnam City North mounted a rally but dropped a 5-2 decision to Tulsa Union Monday (April 20) in a 6A-4 contest.
The Redhawks built a 3-0 lead but the Panthers answered with two runs in the fifth inning. Senior JaQuari Dansby doubled to left field and advanced to third base on a balk. Freshman Jensen Scheffe grounded out but Dansby scored.
Later in the inning, seniors Xayvion Jones and Austin Guerrero had back-to-back walks. Jones scored on an error to make it 3-2.
Union added two insurance runs for the win.
Jones went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Senior Reece Hubble, Dansby and junior Devin Orton each had hits.

North (3-21, 0-10) hosts the Redhawks Tuesday (April 21) at 5 p.m. to complete the district series.
