PURCELL — Bethany managed just one hit in a 10-0 loss to Purcell Monday (April 20) in a 4A-3 game.

Purcell senior Deaken Dobbins struck out 12 batters in the win. He walked two in the five-inning run-rule.

Sophomore Cruz Burleson had a one-out single to center field in the second inning for the Bronchos’ lone hit.

Bethany committed four errors and only three of the 10 runs allowed by Broncho pitching were earned.

Purcell (19-7, 9-4) travels to Bethany (14-10, 8-5) Tuesday (April 21) at 5 p.m. to complete the district series.
