
WEATHERFORD — Bethany broke a 1-1 tie at the intermission and senior Eli Marquez notched a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Weatherford Tuesday (March 3).
Weatherford forward Dalton Mowles scored in 13th minute assisted by junior forward Ryder Leonard. The Bronchos tied it up in the 21st minute with a goal from sophomore Joey Hernandez.
Marquez Marquez dominated the midfield and took over in the second half. Hernandez was brought down in the box and Marquez scored on the penalty kick in the 57th minute.
Junior Cody Martin added a goal in 58th minute to extend the lead to 3-1.
Marquez earned the hat trick with goals in 70th minute and the 73rd minute.

Eagle junior forward Symphony Welsh scored in the 27th Minute on an assist from senior midfielder, Jaden Bradley, a Southern Nazarene commit.
Weatherford junior midfielder Andie Proffit added goal in the 66th minute on an assist from senior midfielder Avery Hahn.

Bethany hosts Woodward on the pitch Friday (March 6) at 6 p.m. (girls) and 8 p.m. (boys).
On Tuesday, the Woodward girls lost to Enid, 10-0, and the boys dropped a 2-1 contest.
