BETHANY— Bethany honored its senior class Tuesday (Feb. 3) with a 68-30 blowout win over Cache in a Western Athletic Conference contest.
The Bronchos, 13th-ranked in 4A, had 11 players score in the rout, including four of the five seniors.
Bethany coach Josh Holliday said the team’s focus was getting a win for the group.
Those honored included forward Denton Jaggers, guard and forward Jagger Weaver, guards Seth Greiner, Landon Lote and Griffin Tarrant.
“Just extremely proud of them and the commitment and sacrifice to show up daily and lead with their voices and actions,” Holliday said via text. “When you have senior lead leadership like we do, we can’t help but get better and grow as a program each day.
“I just feel really fortunate to be able to witness a small part of each of their journeys, everything they’re a part of they make better. I’m a better coach because of them.”
Junior Malachi Chatman poured in 17 points, including five 3-pointers in the win. Sophomore Rhett Brobston added 10 points including two treys.
In all, the Broncho sank 14 3-pointers. Weaver and Lote each had two treys. Sophomore Dempsey Neal, Tarrant and junior Braylen Wright each scored from beyond the arc.
