CLINTON — The Western Heights Jets wrestling program traveled to the Clinton Hub City Tournament Friday and Saturday (Jan. 30-31), where the girls team secured two top-five individual finishes in a highly competitive field.

Manuela Ramos led the way for the Jets in the 100-pound division. Ramos started her tournament strong with a dominant victory, pinning Jailah Hawkins of Douglass in 2:22. She battled through a tough round-robin bracket to secure a fourth-place finish overall.

In the 105-pound bracket, Aaliyah Ramsey earned a fifth-place finish for Western Heights.

On the boys’ side, the Jets competed in a 17-team field dominated by powerhouse programs Elgin and Marlow. While the boys didn’t land on the individual podium in the top-six, the tournament served as a final tune-up for the stretch run of the regular season.
