SAPULPA – Second-ranked Bethany’s Class 4A semifinal match with Cascia Hall was postponed after two sets Friday (Oct. 18).

The match was postponed due to a medical emergency involving a Cascia Hall fan.

The Lady Bronchos (34-2) were tied with the Commandos, 1-1 (25-11, 25-27). The third set was underway with the score of 15-13, Bethany.

With the postponement, the match will resume Saturday (Oct. 19) at 1 p.m. The winner of the match will meet defending 4A champ Community Christian at 6 p.m.

Community Christian beat Victory Christian, 3-0, Friday to advance to the title match.

The Bethany Athletic Department released a statement late Friday saying that fans who purchased tickets to the semifinal game Friday could bring them to the semifinal game Saturday and the would be honored. The school attributed this to the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.
