OKLAHOMA CITY – Norman hit two home runs and scored five runs in the sixth inning en route to an 8-0 shutout of Putnam City North on the Lady Panthers’ “Senior Night” Friday (Oct. 4).
Norman built a 3-0 lead after five innings, while North had baserunners in the first three innings but couldn’t get a run across.
The five-run inning put the game away. It featured an error, single, a sacrifice bunt, two walks, a hit-by-pitch and the Lady Tigers’ second home run.
Senior Angel Franklin went 2-for-3 with a double. Fellow senior Monica Coats was 1-for-3 and another senior, Kyle Smith, finished 1-for-2.
