
CHICKASHA — Western Heights’ season ended with two losses Wednesday (April 29) in 4A regional playoff action, including a Jet rally that fell short.
CHICKASHA 11, WESTERN HEIGHTS 1
The host Fightin’ Chicks racked up 11 hits and 11 runs in the five-inning run-rule win.
Freshman Hunter Rule was 2-for-3 with a stolen base. Freshman Tyler Edmiston, senior Akin Aguillard and sophomore J.J. Bradley each had hits in the loss.
Chickasha senior Kiefer Woods struck out seven Jets. Fellow senior Kaiden Boswell added a 3-for-4 performance and stole five bases.

The Jets mounted a one-out rally in the seventh-inning but fell to the Tigers.
Trailing 5-3, Aguillard walked, Rule singled and Bradley walked to load the bases. Sophomore Heyward Martin drove in Aguillard with a sacrifice fly to center field for the second out and a 5-4 game.
Rule stole third base but junior Austin Carlson struck out to end the game.
Rule was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in. Senior Connor Logsdon was 1-for-4 with a run scored. Aguillard went 1-for-2 and scored twice.
Ardmore’s freshmen Clay Newby and Nico Johnson combined to strike out 10 Jets. They also walked 10 in the contest. Newby earned the win.
The Tigers scored two runs in the first inning. Rule doubled home Logsdon, who led off the inning with a single. Rule later scored on a passed ball to tie the game at 2-2.
Ardmore followed with three runs on four hits in the bottom half of the third inning.
The Jets got a run back in the fifth. Aguillard singled to center. He then stole second and third before scoring on a single by Rule to make it 5-3.
Aguillard took the loss with four innings, six hits, four earned runs. He walked four batters and struck out three. Logsdon pitched the final two innings, allowing only one hit. Logsdon walked a batter and struck out one.
