
OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City West was held to three hits and Choctaw had three big innings for a 19-0 run-rule win Thursday (April 9) at the Northwest Optimist Darrel Palmer Classic.
The Yellowjackets scored six runs in the first inning and nine more in the third inning.
Of the 19 runs allowed by Patriot pitching, only 11 were earned due to three errors. West junior starter Ruben Torres Gonzales walked six batters over 2 1/3 innings.
Junior Aaron De Loera was 2-for-2 with a double. Sophomore Malachi Ferguson added a single for the Patriots.

West (8-10) meets 4A Bethany Friday (April 10) at 2 p.m. at Putnam City North.
The Bronchos dropped a 10-0 contest to Mustang Thursday.
