
WARR ACRES — Norman North scored nine runs in the fourth inning of a 12-0 win over Putnam City Tuesday (April 7) in a 6A-3 contest.
The Pirates had three hits in the loss. Jordan Thomas, junior Jared Potter and freshman Dylan Grigsby each had a hit. Thomas also had a stolen base.
PC batters struck out seven times.
Senior Justin Knight allowed five hits in 3 1/3 innings on the mound. He allowed six earned runs. Knight walked four batters and struck out six.

Putnam City (3-19) is one of the two hosts of the Northwest Optimist Darrel Palmer Classic. On Thursday (April 9), the Pirates play 4A Mount Saint Mary (17-3) at 2 p.m.
The Rockets swept a doubleheader with Woodward on Tuesday, 10-0 and 3-2.
