
ENID — Putnam City North got some offense but couldn’t keep up with Enid in a 6A-4 doubleheader sweep of the Panthers Tuesday (April 7).
ENID 11, PUTNAM CITY NORTH 6
The Plainsmen scored 10 runs over the final four innings after the Panthers had an early 5-1 lead.
North collected 14 hits in the loss. Panther seniors Quincy Robinson, Austin Guerrero, Xayvion Jones and Gavin Lang each had two hits. Guerrero and each had a double.
Seniors Xavier Sarkey, Alfredo Renteria, JaQuari Dansby and juniors Treague Ferguson, Devin Orton each had a hit. Dansby picked up a double.

Enid built a 5-0 lead before the Panthers scored single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. The Plainsmen scored five runs in the sixth on three walks and an an error for the win.
Jones went 2-for-3 with a double. Guerrero, Ferguson and Lang each had a hit. Lang’s hit was a double.
Sarkey struck out five batters over five innings. He allowed 10 hits and five runs, walking two.
