
NORMAN — Western Heights scored six runs in the fourth inning and held on for a 7-4 win over Community Christian Monday (March 23).
The Jets took advantage of four Royal errors in the fourth-inning rally. Sophomore Ann-Marie Bohnstedt doubled and fellow sophomore Jalesa Asimba singled in the inning.
Asimba and Bohnstedt both went 3-for-4. Asimba scored twice and Bohnstedt scored once. Sophomore Abbie Bise added a 2-for-4 day. Seniors Aracena Martin, Raelynn Frost and Julissa Richards each had a hit.
Bohnstedt earned the win in the circle. She allowed 10 hits and walked four batters. Bohnstedt struck out three.

Western Heights travels to 4A Stroud (5-5) next Monday (March 30) at 5 p.m.
The Tigers lost to Dewar 13-0 Tuesday. Stroud will play 3A Dewar Thursday and in the Wayne Festival on Friday.
