TUTTLE — Bethany suffered from big innings from their opponents Thursday and Friday (March 19-20) in the Tuttle Spring Break Festival.
THURSDAY: OOLOGAH 12, BETHANY 2
The Mustangs had 10 hits and 10 runs in the first inning in the rout.
Oologah’s outburst came after the Bronchos picked up a run in the top half of the inning. Senior Karter Thomas lined an infield single and sprinted to third base on an error. Junior Cooper Willis drove in Thomas with a sacrifice fly.
Bethany would get another run in the second inning. Freshman Maximus Loyd tripled to right field. Fellow freshman Isaac Bellows ran for the catcher Loyd and scored on a single from another freshman, Jayden Rose.
Juniors Brody McLaren and Ozzie Brown each had a double in the loss.

The 5A Highlanders extended a 1-0 lead with four runs in the fourth inning on Mac senior Josiah Alford’s grand slam
Bethany got two runs back in the bottom of the fifth. Sophomore Cooper Suarez had an infield single. Fellow sophomore Cruz Burleson reached on an infield error and and Suarez scored on a sacrifice fly from junior Damyen Aguilar. Burleson scored on a double from McLaren.
