
EDMOND — Edmond Memorial picked up a couple of routs over Putnam City West Monday (March 9).
Both games in the 6A-1 series were played as a doubleheader due to forecasted severe weather for Tuesday.
EDMOND MEMORIAL 14, PUTNAM CITY WEST 0
West was held to only one hit. The Bulldogs scored six runs in both the third and fourth innings.
Junior Aaron De Loera had the lone Patriot hit, a single in the fourth inning.
Edmond Memorial junior Cole Dunlap, a TCU commit, struck out 11 West batters and walked none over five innings.

De Loera pitched five scoreless innings. He allowed three hits, walked two batters and struck out seven in a no-decision.
The Bulldogs broke through in the top of the sixth with 13 runs on six hits, six walks and two errors.
Sophomore Malachi Ferguson drove in a run with the Patriots’ lone hit. His sixth-inning single to center field scored Ezequiel Hernandez, who walked with two outs.
