
WARR ACRES — Southwest Covenant scored four runs in the fourth inning and shut out Putnam City, 9-0, Thursday (March 5).
The Patriots, an A1 school, broke open a 3-0 with four runs in the fourth inning. Southwest Covenant took advantage of four walks and a 2-run triple from junior Kale Carn.
The Pirates had an opportunities. Senior Justin Knight doubled in the first inning and fellow senior Brandon Bennett tripled in the second inning. PC had six hits in the loss.
Knight and Bennett each went 2-for-3. Junior Chase Guethle and sophomore Gabe Krueger each had a hit.
Senior Judd Quanstrom took the loss after giving up three runs in three innings. Quanstrom walked four batter and struck out six.
