
MIDWEST CITY — Midwest City handed Putnam City West its first loss with a 10-0 win Thursday (March 5).
The 5A Bombers smacked 12 hits in the win and scored six runs in the first inning.
Junior Aaron De Loera was 1-for-2 with a double. Junior Daniel Hoyt and senior Kasen Jones also had hits.
The Bombers tagged freshman Riley Axtell with six runs before he exited with one out in the first inning.
Junior Ruben Torres Gonzales struck out five batters over the final 3 2/3 innings on the mound.
