STROUD — Bethany sophomore Breck Brady scored 26 points and the 11th-ranked Bronchos advanced in the 4A Area I playoffs with a 73-57 win over No. 18 Inola Thursday (March 5).

Bethany took the lead in the second quarter and held the Longhorns to just seven points in the third quarter.

“The guys really competed against a physical well-coached Inola team,” Bethany coach Josh Holliday said via text. “I felt like we did a great job gang rebounding there in the second half. Great team win!”

Brady “was a monster on the glass,” Holliday said.

“He just played with force! Wasn’t going to be denied.”

Brady scored eight points in the second quarter and added 12 points in the fourth quarter. He was 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the win.

Senior Denton Jaggers added 14 points. including six points in the second quarter.

“Denton Jaggers was phenomenal at playmaking all game!” Holliday said.

Junior Wyatt Keefer scored 12 points, including nine points in the second half.

Senior Jagger Weaver drilled two 3-pointers in the third quarter. Keefer and Jaggers also connected from beyond the arc in the win.

UP NEXT

Bethany (23-6) meets third-ranked Weatherford (26-3) Friday (March 6) at 2:30 p.m.

The Eagles beat Miami on Thursday, 53-36.

On Feb. 10, Weatherford beat the Bronchos, 46-31, in a Western Athletic Conference contest.
