OKLAHOMA CITY— Putnam City West sophomore Chloe Medlock earned the school’s first girls wrestling individual state championship Saturday (Feb. 28) at the 6A state meet.

Medlock captured 115-pound title with a win over defending state champ Kristen Delarosa of Broken Arrow by a 7-4 score. Medlock had two takedowns in the win. Medlock finished with a 32-1 record.

Last year, Delarosa knocked off Medlock in the semifinals.

Senior Carli Antonell earned third place at 140 pounds. Antonelli won by a fall at 1:45 over Yukon freshman Chloe Beckett.

As a team, the Patriots finished eighth.
