
MOORE — Putnam City West had four players score in double figures in a 66-54 win over Sapulpa Friday (Feb. 27) in the 6A West Regional 4 playoffs at Southmoore.
Senior Quavion Wheeler scored a game-high 16 points, including 11 points in the second half when West widened the lead to double digits. Fellow senior Demetrice Carter added 13 points. Both Wheeler and Carter had a 3-pointer.
Sophomore JaMauri Kimbrough drilled three treys and scored 11 points. Fellow sophomore Miekyel Armstead followed with 10 points in the win.
The Patriots hit eight 3-pointers. Juniors Elijah Turner, Andre Farrar and sophomore Earl Smith each connected from beyond the arc.
UP NEXT
West (17-7) plays host Southmoore (15-9) Saturday (Feb. 28) at 7 p.m. for the Regional 4 title.
The Sabercats earned a 68-32 win over rival Westmoore on Friday.
West has won five straight games while Southmoore has a string of four straight wins.
