CHICKASHA — Western Heights outscored Chickasha 15-6 in the fourth quarter and overtime combined to pull out a 40-36 victory Saturday (Feb. 21) in the 4A District 6 championship.

Jet senior Cruz Bluitt had two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. He added a bucket and a free throw in the extra period and finished with nine points.

Fellow senior Triston Young also scored nine points, including three points in overtime.

Senior Nick Henderson scored six points, with a trey. Sophomore Darrian Black added five points.

Senior Jaden Diaz followed with four points and added a second quarter 3-pointer.

Chickasha sophomore Kamryn Perry scored a game-high 13 points and senior Brody Ross added nine points. The duo was held to two points in the fourth quarter and overtime period combined.

UP NEXT

Western Heights heads back to Chickasha to meet third-ranked Crossings Christian (19-6) Tuesday (Feb. 24) at 7:30 p.m. in the 4A Area III Regional C winner’s bracket.

The Knights downed Tuttle, 60-46, Saturday.
