OKLAHOMA CITY — Western Heights downed Elgin, 55-24, on Senior Night Thursday (Feb. 12).

The Jets held the Owls to single-digit scoring in the first three quarters of the win.

Senior Nick Henderson scored a game-high 15 points. Henderson hit two 3-pointers in the first quarters as Western Heights built a 22-6 lead. He was 5-of-6 from the free throw line in the third quarter.

Four Jets each had six points including seniors Kyree Lartey, Triston Young, Cruz Bluitt and Jaden Diaz. Bluitt sank two treys and Lartey also had a 3-pointer.

UP NEXT

Western Heights travels to Chickasha next Saturday (Feb. 21) to meet the Chicks in district play of the Class 4A playoffs. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.

The Chicks (13-11) have lost three straight, including a 46-34 loss to Purcell Friday. Chickasha will play Pauls Valley Monday.
