BETHANY — Clinton focused on stopping Bethany junior Camryn Regier Thursday (Feb. 12). The Bronchos responded with four players (including Regier) in double figures for a 81-20 rout to wrap up Western Athletic Conference play.

The Lady Reds opened the game by playing a box-and-one defense to try and slow down Regier.

“We could see that Cam started to get frustrated,” Bethany coach Eric Sailer said via text. “But with (Maddison) McNutt and Reese (Harris) hitting some big shots Clinton had to get out pretty quickly.”

Regier still finished with a game-high 18 points. She was 6-of-11 from the field. Regier had six rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks.

Senior Reese Harris added 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Harris had five rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Junior Ali Linn had 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Linn connected on 5 of 8 shots from the floor.

Seinor Maddison McNutt followed with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Sophomore Kamryn Donley scored eight points. Donley had four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a blocked shot.

Nine Bronchos scored in the game. As a team, Bethany shot 54 percent from the field.

“If we can continue to shoot the ball like that we will make a deep run in the playoffs,” Sailer said.

Clinton was cold from the floor. The Lady Reds hit 7-of-45 (16 percent). Clinton also had 19 turnovers in the loss.
