BETHANY — Four seniors walked off the floor Tuesday (Feb. 3) with a win on their senior night as the Bronchos routed Cache, 56-20.
For Bethany coach Eric Sailer, senior night wins have become commonplace.
“We have been blessed with some really good players,” Sailer said via text as four more players added their names to the list.
The Bronchos honored guards McKenna Calderon, Maddison McNutt, Reese Harris and forward Madison Bibbs.
On the floor, Bethany dominated.
“I felt like we did a better job of taking care of the ball,” Sailer said. “Offense was better. Our defense frustrated Cache.”
Bethany had 13 turnovers while Cache turned the ball over 26 times.
Junior Camryn Regier scored a game-high 24 points on 8-of-20 shooting. Regier added five rebounds and three steals.
Fellow junior Ali Linn added a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Linn had four steals.
Harris scored five points. Bibbs added four points and Maddison McNutt had a 3-pointer.
Sailer saw other senior superlatives.
“McNutt and Reese (Harris) had some really good assists,” Sailer said. “McKenna (Calderon) was able to get a lot of ball touches on defense, and Bibbs made numerous defensive plays!!!”
Bethany shot the ball at 34 percent but Cache struggled even more, at 21 percent. The Bulldogs had only one offensive rebounds compared to 16 Broncho defensive rebounds.
