DEER CREEK — Western Heights went 1-1 at the Bruce Gray Invitational before the threat of snow and ice cancelled the final day of the tournament.

WEDNESDAY: BISHOP MCGUINNESS 75, WESTERN HEIGHTS 52

The Jets struggled in the second and third quarters in the loss.

Sophomore Cam Johns led Western Heights with nine points, including two fourth-quarter 3-pointers. Junior Anthony Gum added eights points, six of which came in the first quarter.

Jaden Diaz also scored eight points.

The Jets opened up a rout after a tight first quarter.

Diaz scored a game-high 16 points, 12 in the third quarter. He was 4-of-6 from the free throw line.

Senior Nick Henderson added 12 points. Henderson was 5-of-6 from the stripe.

The Bobcats beat 2A KIPP Tulsa 87-62 Tuesday (Jan. 20).

On Nov. 20, the Jets beat Star Spencer to open the season, 66-49.
