
PURCELL — Bethany earned a spot in the championship game of the Heart of Oklahoma Basketball Tournament with a 63-37 win over 6A Enid Thursday (Jan. 22).
Junior Camryn Regier led the Bronchos with 18 points. Regier sank 7 of 13 shots from the field. She had seven rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Fellow junior Ali Linn had 13 points, on 4-of-5 shooting. Linn had seven rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Senior Reese Harris added nine points by hitting all three of her 3-point shots. Harris had two rebounds and a steal.
Freshman Morgan McNutt followed with eight points on 3-of-7 shooting.
As a team, the Bronchos shot 46 percent from the field and turned the ball over only seven times. Enid shot 33 percent and turned the ball over 15 times.
UP NEXT
Bethany (14-2) faces Elgin Friday (Jan. 23) at 8:30 a.m. The game was rescheduled due to forecasted heavy snow and ice coming later Friday to the state.
The Owls (13-4) beat host Purcell 53-31 to advance to the title game.
