BETHANY — Bethany’s struggles in Western Athletic Conference play continued Tuesday (Dec. 16) in a 59-52 loss to Woodward.

The Bronchos (4-2, 0-2 in WAC play) sprinted out to a 10-4 lead late in the first quarter before the Boomers tied the game at 12-12 before the quarter ended.

Bethany held a 29-26 lead at halftime were outscored 22-8 in the third quarter.

“We need to learn the importance of every possession!!!” Bethany coach Eric Sailer said via text. “Rather it ends in a turnover or a bad shot selection, we may value the ball. We must improve at this skill!”

Sailer said everyone on the floor needed to improve blocking out.

Junior Camryn Regier scored a game-high 30 points, including 17 in the first half.

Junior Ali Linn added 11 points, five in the first quarter.

Regier and Linn each got into foul trouble, which limited their minutes.

“Bad news is we lost,” Sailer said. “Good news is we have two more opportunities to right the ship before Christmas break.”
