NORMAN — Putnam City West downed 4A Mount St. Mary, 52-44, Saturday (Dec. 13) to capture seventh place in the Community Christian Classic.
“I’m just glad we found a way to win,” Putnam City West coach Kennedi Simien said via text. “I’m hoping this was the boost they needed to keep going.”
West had three players score in double figures.
Senior Kimyia Bullard scored 16 points. She had two 3-pointers in the second quarter. Bullard also scored eight points in the fourth quarter of the win.
Junior Shania White added 12 points, including six points in the fourth quarter.
Freshmen Franny Vasquez followed with 10 points, eight of which came in the first half.
