OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City North had four players score in double figures in an 82-42 rout of Stillwater Tuesday (Dec. 9) in a 6A-3 contest.

Sophomore Keaton Murry scored a game-high 19 points with four 3-pointers. Junior Mekhi Thomas also drained four treys and finished with 18 points.

Senior TJ McNeely added 11 points, including a seven points in a 30-point fourth quarter outburst for the Panthers.

Junior Malakye Schoats hit two first-quarter 3-pointers and finished with 10 points.

Putnam City North coach DJ Lemons wasn’t focused on the blowout win or scoring 82 points. His focus was on defense.

“For us to play on our home court and to hold them to 42 points, out-rebound them and do a good job keeping them off the foul line, to me, those were the keys,” Lemons said via text. “It really started with the amazing character of the guys next to me, the connectivity of our team, to be able to build off the momentum after a great win in Missouri.”
