OKLAHOMA CITY — After building a double-digit lead, Western Heights held off a fourth quarter rally by John Marshall in a 69-63 win Tuesday (Dec. 9).

“It was a good home game for us,” Western Heights coach Jonathan Bluitt said via text. “JMHS are talented and will give some teams lot problems with their length and size. However, our guys played a tough game and we got a win against a good JM team.”

Western Heights led 57-42 entering the fourth quarter but the Bears outscored the Jets, 21-12, in the final quarter to shrink the gap.

Senior Nick Henderson scored 18 points, including eight points in the first quarter. Senior Cruz Bluitt added 14 points. Junior Zion Castaneda followed with 12 points, including two 3-pointers in the first quarter.

Sophomore Cameron Johns and junior Anthony Gum each scored seven points.
