DUNCANVILLE, Texas — Putnam City North improved to 2-0 with a 74-70 win over DeSoto (Texas) Saturday (Nov. 29) at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest.

The Panthers had three players score in double figures. Sophomore Keaton Murry scored 16 points and had 8 rebounds. Senior Malakye Schoats added 14 points with two 3-pointers. Schoats had six boards. Sophomore Devion Gillispie followed with 10 points, five rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot.

North opens 6A-3 play Tuesday (Dec. 2) at Edmond Santa Fe (0-0).
