
BARTLESVILLE — Putnam City North’s season ended Wednesday (Oct. 8) after two losses in 6A Regional 4. The Panthers fell to host Bartlesville, 6-0, and Sapulpa, 12-11 in 12 innings.

Four walks and two singles in the seventh inning led to four runs in the loss.
Senior Jayda Stevenson allowed six hits and six runs in 6 2/3 innings. She walked six batters and struck out seven.
Junior Kayla Orton and senior Mikala Coats each had a hit.
Bartlesville junior Alison Rosson struck out 11 batters for the Bruins.

After losing a 5-run lead in the seventh inning, Putnam City North held Sapulpa scoreless before falling in the 12th inning of a marathon contest.
The Panthers broke the 10-10 tie in the top of the seventh.
Sophomore Kaelyn Staden doubled to lead off the inning (one of three doubles in the game). Senior Addison Patterson moved Staden to third base with a sacrifice bunt and fellow senior Mikala Coats lofted a sacrifice fly to left field to score Staden to make it 11-10.
In the bottom half of the inning, Sapulpa junior Madison Shipman and freshman Jazmyn Kelley led off the inning with back-to-back doubles and the Chieftains tied the game at 11-11. North senior Jayda Stevenson got two a fly out and pop out.
Sophomore Ruby Beatty hit a 2-2 pitch into right field which scored Kelley for the walkoff win.
Trailing 1-0 in the third inning, North plated five runs with four singles and two Sapulpa errors.
The Panthers led 6-5 and extended the lead in the seventh inning with three singles a walk and a double from junior Laila Willoby-Taylor.
The Chieftains came back in the bottom half of the inning, taking advantage of four North errors to tie the game at 10-10.
Willoby-Taylor went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four runs batted in.
Coats added a 4-for-4 days with two runs scored and an RBI.
Staden was 3-for-6 (all doubles) and scored once.
Sophomore Kayleigh Andrews had a hit and scored twice and junior Presley Standridge also had a hit, scored twice and drove in a run.
Standridge allowed eight hits and five runs in 4 1/3 innings. She walked four batters.
Stevenson pitched the final 7 1/3 innings of the extra-inning game. She scattered eight hits. Of the seven runs Stevenson allowed, only two were earned runs. She walked two and struck out eight batters.
