WARR ACRES — Putnam City swept a doubleheader Monday (Sept. 29). The Pirates beat Classen S.A.S., 10-7, and Northwest Classen, 15-2.

The Pirates had five doubles and a home run in the win over the Comets.

Junior Samantha Tidmore went 3-for-3 with two doubles a run scored and two runs batted in. Senior Dahlia Hickerson was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Junior Alexandra Hatlelid was 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs.

Juniors Madi Gossman, Tess Goodner, Addison Grier, Cadence O’Dell-Brown and Natalie Luevano each had a hit. Gossman had a double and drove in a run. Luevano also drove in a run.

Goodner got the win on the mound. She allowed one hits and two unearned runs over four innings. She struck out seven batters.

Goodner tossed a 3-inning no-hitter and homered in the Pirates’ win.

Goodner struck out three batters and walked one batter. She allowed two runs in the first inning.

Gossman was 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Hickerson, Goodner, Nevaeh Rosewell and Kortney Wheeler each had a hit. Rosewell had a double.

Junior Cadence O’Dell-Brown walked twice and stole five bases. In all, Original stole 17 bases.
