
WARR ACRES — Putnam City fell on Senior Night to 5A Midwest City, 6-2, Tuesday (Sept. 30).
The Bombers’ 12 hits were too much for the Pirates, who lost an 2-run lead.
The Pirates struck first when senior Dahlia Hickerson tripled to center fielder. Hickerson scored on a groundout by junior Samantha Tidmore.
Original added another run in the third inning when junior Tess Goodner hit an inside-the-park home run.
From there, Midwest City scored in every inning for the win. The Bombers had 12 hits.
Hickerson finished the day 2-for-4. Goodner was 1-for-2 and junior Alexandra Hatlelid went 1-for-3.
Goodner pitched a complete game. She walked one batters and struck out five.
