
OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City North seniors Jayda Stevenson and Peyton Edwards combined for a four-inning no-hitter and junior Savannah Martinez was 3-for-3 in the Panthers’ 8-0 win over 5A Southeast Monday (Sept. 22).
Stevenson struck out eight Spartans and walked four. Edwards pitched the fourth inning and walked one.
At the plate, Martinez doubled and drove in three runs.
“Great team win,” Putnam City North coach D’Antae Mitchell said via text. Mitchell highlighted Stevenson’s strikeout title and Martinez’s day at the plate.
Junior Standridge added a 2-for-3 day with three runs scored.
Sophomore Kayleigh Andrews, junior Kayla Orton and senior Mikala Coats each had a hit.
Andrews stole a base and scored twice, Coats scored a run in the win.
