OKLAHOMA CITY — Midwest City took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown and the rout was on in a 38-0 win over Putnam City West Thursday (Sept. 11).
Junior Ryan Hollaway sprinted 95 yards for the opening score with 11:42 left.
In the second quarter, Patriot sophomore Jaylen Wright intercepted a tipped pass from Bomber senior quarterback Lincoln King.
West drove the ball to near midfield, keyed by a 15-yard connection between sophomore James Janzen and senior JT Hutchinson. The drive died two players later when Janzen was intercepted.
In the third quarter, another miscue – a West fumble – led to the Bombers’ final score of the game.
