MIDWEST CITY — Western Heights blew open a tight game with eight runs over the last two innings in a 10-1 win over Putnam City West Friday (Sept. 5) in the Midwest City Festival.
The Jets banged out nine hits in the win.
Jalesa Asimba went 2-for-3 with a run scored, a run batted in and two stolen bases. Aracena Martin also went 2-for-3 with a double,a run scored and an RBI.
Abbie Bise, Raelynn Frost, Ann-Marie Bohnstedt, Julissa Richards and Abby Castillo each had a hit. Bise had a double.
The Jets stole 14 bases, paced by four steals by Frost.
Asimba allowed three hits in five innings. She struck out nine batters in the win.
For the Patriots, Kaydence Lopez had a double and a triple. Aaliyah also had a hit
