WARR ACRES — Putnam City fell twice to Muskogee in a 6A-4 doubleheader Thursday (Aug. 21). The Pirates lst, 25-0 and 18-1.

GAME 1: MUSKOGEE 25. PUTNAM CITY 0

The Roughers scored 14 runs in the second inning in the blowout. Muskogee collected 15 hits in the contest.

The Pirates were held to two hits, singles by seniors Dahlia Hickerson and Tess Goodner. Both players had a stolen base as well.

The PC bats struggled besides that with nine strikeouts.

GAME 2: MUSKOGEE 18, PUTNAM CITY 1

The Roughers scored 10 runs in the second inning to blow open a 5-1 game. Muskogee had 13 hits in the win.

Junior Alexandra Hatlelid had the Pirates’ lone hit.

Pirate batters struck out six times in the loss.
