OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City West picked up a volleyball win Tuesday (Aug. 19) with a 3-0 victory over Capitol Hill. The Patriots won, 25-19, 25-8, 25-12.
“We got off to a slow start, but things warmed up,” West coach Regan McNeil said via text. “We had some big kills, played to our strengths, and served a great match.
McNeil praised senior Simone Robinson, a newcomer from Mustang.
“She has really stepped into a leadership role and is a playmaker on both sides of the game.”
McNeil was proud of the win in the Patriots’ sixth match in four days.
“They’re becoming more dominant and really breaking out of their mold to accomplish new goals,” McNeil said.
