OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City North picked up two shutout victories Monday (Aug. 18) with a 14-0 win over U.S. Grant and a 11-0 win over Classen S.A.S.

The Panthers scored six runs in the first inning en route to a three-inning rout. North took advantage of five Grant errors.

Junior Presley Standridge went 2-for-3 with a double. Sophomore Kayleigh Andrews added a 2-for-2 day with two doubles and three runs batted in.

Juniors Kayla Orton, Savannah Martinez, seniors Jayda Stevenson and Monica Coats each had a hit.

Stevenson allowed just one hit in three innings. She walked three batters and struck out eight.

PUTNAM CITY NORTH 11, CLASSEN S.A.S. 0

Edwards pitched a four-inning no-hitter as the North offense unloaded on the 5A Comets with 10 hits.

Edwards walked two and struck out five.

Orton, Martinez and Staden each had two hits. Martinez and Staden each had a double. Junior Laila Willoby, Standridge, Andrews and Coats each had a hit. Andrews drove in four runs and Coats logged a triple in the win.
