YUKON — Putnam City North stayed alive with one win Thursday (May 8) in the Class 6A baseball Regional 1. The Panthers fell to Piedmont 13-4 but rebounded with a 3-0 win over Lawton Eisenhower.
PIEDMONT 13, PUTNAM CITY NORTH 4
The Wildcats racked up 11 hits and took advantage of five errors in a rout.
North junior Quincy Robinson finished 2-of-3 with three runs batted in.
Seniors Rocco Carattini, Geoffry Schmid, juniors Auston Guerrero and Robert Marcy each had a hit.
Panther junior Xavier Sarkey took the loss. He walked five batters and struck out five batters in a 3 1/3 inning stint. Of the 13 runs North pitchers gave up, only nine of them were earned due to the errors.

Schmid allowed only one hit and struck out nine batters in 4 2/3 innings. He also walked five batters. Junior Alfredo Renteria got the save after allowing two hits in 2/13 innings. He struck out three batters.
The Panthers took advantage of an error and a walk in the first inning. Senior Jessie Aaron scored on a groundout to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
In the sixth inning, the Panthers added two runs. Carattini singled to lead off the inning and made it to second base on an error. Sophomore Treague Ferguson then bunted him to third base.
Robinson lofted a sacrifice fly to left field to score Carattini. Jessie Aaron followed with a triple to right field. Senior Aaron Wall singled to center field to score Jessie Aaron make it 3-0.
Wall finished with a 2-for-3 day and an run batted in.
