BETHANY — The Bethany girls soccer team advanced to the Class 4A state semifinals with a 3-1 win over Oklahoma Christian School Thursday (May 8) at Southern Nazarene’s Wes Harmon Field.

“I thought our girls played probably the best game they’ve played all season,” Bethany coach Sean Williams said via phone. “They shared the ball, game plan execution was perfect.”

Williams said his team shut down Saint freshman Kylie Eldridge and “really limited things that they do well.”

Sophomore Camryn Regier scored all three goals for the Bronchos to extend her season goal total to 50.

Williams highlighted freshmen Jozelin Hernandez, Jocelyn Balderas and Shayne VonFeldt as well as junior Berkley Johnson and sophomore Isabella Matthew for their play.
