BETHANY — Bethany’s Class 4A regional title game has been moved from Friday to Saturday (May 3).

Bethany coach Robert Lee said that wet grounds due to recent storms were the reason for the schedule change.

The Bronchos will play the winner of Bridge Creek and Mount Saint Mary Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The Bobcats and Rockets meet at 2 p.m. at Bethany.

If the Bronchos’ opponent beats Bethany at 4:30 p.m., the two teams would play Sunday at 1 p.m. If Bethany wins, they clinch the Region 8 title and advance in the playoffs.

On Thursday, The Bronchos routed Seminole, 14-4, before defeating Mount Saint Mary, 4-3, in nine innings.

The Rockets beat Bridge Creek, 12-7, earlier in the day. The Bobcats stayed alive in the tournament, beating Seminole, 10-4, in a game that ended early Friday morning before storms moved in from western Oklahoma.
