
MOORE — Putnam City North dropped a 6-2 contest to Moore Friday (April 25) in a 6A non-district game.
The Panthers were held to three hits in the loss. Senior Jessie Aaron, sophomore Devin Orton and junior Robert Marcy each had a hit.
Aaron’s RBI-single in the first inning gave North the early lead. Moore answered with three runs in the second inning and three more in the fifth inning.
In the sixth inning, the Panthers took advantage of a hit batsman, a walk and Orton’s single to load the bases. Junior Gavin Lang’s groundout scored senior Rocco Carattini to make it 6-2.
The Panthers used six pitchers in the loss. North pitching combined to walk eight batters.

North (6-22, 4-8) begin its final 6A-1 series Monday (April 28), hosting Mustang at 5 p.m.
The Broncos (16-14, 6-6) fell to Enid, 3-1, Friday.
