BETHANY — The Bethany Bronchos used a complete-game shutout from senior Charlie Tolle and the longball for a 5-0 win over Tuttle Tuesday (April 15) in a 4A non-district contest.

Tolle allowed only two hits. He walked three batters and struck out five.

The only threat the Tigers made was in the sixth inning when Tuttle loaded the bases with two outs on two walks and a hit batsmen. Tiger senior Brady McAdoo lined out to Bethany junior Karter Thomas to end the inning.

Bethany (18-5) took a 2-0 lead the second inning thanks to three Tuttle errors and a pitch that hit senior Brock Cross.

Thomas extended the lead to 3-0 in the third inning by sending a ball over the right field wall.

Junior Judson Gilliland made it 4-0 in the fourth inning with an RBI-single to left field which scored Cross, who had walked.

Gilliland added a homer over the left field wall in the sixth inning to make it 5-0.

Gilliland and Thomas each went 2-for-3. Gilliland drove in two runs. Senior Joe Berry added a 1-for-2 day with a run scored.

Cross was 0-for-1 but scored once and drove in a run.

The Bronchos host 6A Putnam City West Thursday (April 17) for Senior Night. First pitch is at 5 p.m.

The Patriots (5-15) lost to Edmond Memorial, 14-1, Tuesday.
