GUTHRIE — Western Heights couldn’t overcome an 11-run inning from Guthrie in a 19-5 loss Saturday (April 12) in a 5A-1 matchup.

The Jets (9-11, 2-8) committed 13 errors in the loss. Guthrie (14-4, 8-2) built a 17-0 lead after two innings.

Seniors Jacob Bohnstedt, Caden Wiebusch and junior Akin Aguillard each had a hit.

The Jets lone rally came in the fourth inning, fueled by three walks and a double from Aguillard.

Junior Connor Logsdon took the loss, lasting 1 1/3 innings. He gave up two hits. Of the 14 runs he allowed, none were earned due to the errors.

UP NEXT

Western Heights (9-11, 2-8) hosts Del City (2-18, 0-8) Monday (April 14) at 5 p.m.

The Eagles fell to 6A Putnam City North, 15-8, Friday in the Bill Tipton Classic.
